Load Book terms of use

What Load Book is
Load Book is a notebook for handloading: it keeps your rifles, components, loads, boxes, range results and published load data together, and compares your charges with that data. It is a record-keeping tool, not a source of loading advice.
Load data and safety
- Published load data is a starting point, not a recommendation. It comes from the bullet and powder makers (credited and linked on every line) or from what you bring in. Makers revise their data, and powder and component lots vary. Always check the maker's current published data, start at the published starting charge, work up carefully, and watch for signs of excess pressure.
- Warnings can miss. Load Book flags charges near or over the maximum it knows about and says "Not checked" when it has nothing to compare with. It can't catch every error, including errors in the data or in what was read from a photo. Check every number against the source.
- Read pages uses AI to read tables from photos and PDFs. It can misread a digit. You must check every charge against the original before saving it, and before loading from it.
- Dope cards are predictions from the speed and ballistic coefficient you enter. They are not confirmed until you've shot at each distance.
- The demo is an example showing how the app works. It is not a load recommendation for your rifle.
You are solely responsible for the ammunition you load and fire, and for following the law and safe handling practices.
Your account and benches
Keep your sign-in to yourself. Bench owners decide who is on a bench and can change anything on it, including handing records to other members. Don't use Load Book for anything unlawful.
No warranty
Load Book is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy of data, calculations or warnings, or uninterrupted service. To the fullest extent the law allows, Load Book and its makers aren't liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from reloading, shooting, or reliance on anything shown in the app.
Changes and ending
These terms may change; the app will say so when they do. You can stop using Load Book and delete your account at any time in Settings.
